Ricker was predeceased earlier this year by her husband of nearly 50 years, David T. Ricker. Mrs. Ricker is survived by her sons, David W. Ricker of Dallas, TX, and Dr.

Jonathan E. Ricker (Nancy) of Danville, KY. She is also survived by her mother, Arthea Johnson of Prescott, AZ; two brothers, William E. Ladd (Mary) of Scottsdale, AZ and Gary A. Ladd (Vivian); two grandchildren, Jeffrey Ricker and Rachel E.

Ricker, both of Danville, KY; four nephews and one niece. A celebration of life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to noon Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008, at Messinger Payson Funeral Home, 302 W. Born in Niles, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and the late Clara (Engelhardt) Stoll. June was a high school graduate. On July 21, 1951, she married the love of her life, Dale in St. Paul's Church in Salem, Ohio. She was a homemaker who always had time for her family and friends.

June loved being with her family, cross stitching, gardening, bird watching, traveling, and loved watching wildlife. She was a member of the Arnot Ogden Medical Center Volunteers. June is survived by one daughter, Robbie (James) Buntaine of Rochester, NY; and one son, James Culberson of Auckland, New Zealand; grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, and Mark Buntaine of Rochester, and Danielle and Benjamin Culberson of Auckland, New Zealand. June also had many loving friends. June was predeceased by her husband, Dale in 2001.

A Memorial Service will be held at Mount Savior Monastery in Pine City on day, March 5th, at 2:45 p.m. Interment will be in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats at the convenience of the family. Harry was predeceased by his brother, Eddie Faulkner in 2005. Mary's, PA, the daughter of the late John M. and Mary L'Abbe Daugherty. She was a graduate of Wilsonian High School, Angelica, NY, and was a retired secretary bookkeeper for Callahan and Hooey, Corning, NY and the Penn Wells Hotel. Alice was of the Catholic faith, loved to write poetry, loved animals, especially cats, and was a supporter of the SPCA and U.S. Military organizations.

Surviving are a special niece, Retired Lt. Col. Mary C. Fuller of Middlebury Center, PA; several other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews and great-greatgreat-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Charles Daugherty, John Daugherty and James Daugherty, and sisters, Mary Goodwin and Margaret Fuller.

Joan was born October 7, 1927 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Earl and Louise Stanton Stonemetz. She was also pre-deceased by her brothers. Joan married her husband, Melvin E. Mitchell, on August 2, 1952 and they would have celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary on August 2, 2008.

Mrs. Mitchell devoted her life to her family and treasured every moment she spent with them. She was a retired employee of Remington Rand in Elmira, NY. Firefighters were called to 5920 County Route 10 shortly after 5 p.m. and found the garage on fire when they arrived. The fire was contained to the garage, and there were no injuries.

The owner lost a pickup truck, two tractors and other property, firefighters said. Firefighters from Bath, Savona, Kanona, Cameron and Hammondsport were on the scene. Investigators were still on the scene Thursday night and the cause was still being investigated, according to Chief Ronald Delio of the Bath Volunteer Fire Department. ELMIRA School officials' contracts are online Superintendent Raymond Bryant has posted his contract on the Elmira school district's Web site. Elmira resident Kevin Jones said the contract was posted after he filed a Freedom of Information Law request to see the document.

He said 1 he did so because of rumors about details of the contract. District spokeswoman Kristin Butler said Bryant asked her to post the contracts of all non-union administrators, including his, and she said she began doing that Thursday morning. Others that were posted included the contracts of the deputy and assistant superintendents. Keddell resigns job with school district Donald Keddell has resigned as a consultant with the Elmira school district to seek a seat on the Greater Southern Tier BOCES board. The Elmira school board accepted his resignation Wednesday night. Keddell, the district's former associate superintendent, was brought back as a consultant after his retirement to work on early childhood issues, particularly the development of the School Readiness Project. He said he was resigning because his work in Elmira could be perceived as a conflict if he were also on the BOCES board. Attorney general's rep to be at library A representative from New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's office will be at Steele Memorial Library from 11 a.m.

WATKINS GLEN Former Montour supervisor arrested Former Montour Town Supervisor Kenneth F. Dillon, 54, was charged Wednesday with petit larceny for allegedly obtaining public assistance benefits he was not entitled to.

Also charged was 55-year-old Jan I. Dillon. The Dillons were issued appearance tickets to answer the charges at a later date in Watkins Glen Village Court. Kenneth Dillon served 40 days in jail in 2005, during his term as town supervisor, for a 2002 misdemeanor conviction for menacing a neighbor with a shotgun..
