Suburban Newspapers MV Edward Brickle: former baseball player Edward Brickle, a former professional baseball player and longtime New Rochelle resident, died Saturday at New Rochelle Hospital Medical Center. He was 87. Mr. Brickle was born Nov. 29, 1906, to Edward and Ada Robinson Brickle in Raleigh, N.C., where he grew up and attended public schools.

Mr. Brickle was a professional baseball player and pitcher on the Raleigh Tigers of the former Negro baseball leagues. He married Janie Alice Crosson in 1925. She died in 1978. In 1943, Mr.

Brickle moved to New Rochelle. For 20 years, he was a machine operator at Davis and White Steel Parts Co. in Larchmont. Most recently, he was a Veronica Quarnstrom: NY Veronica A. Quarnstrom, a New Rochelle resident, died Saturday at her home.

She was 64. She was born April 29, 1930, in New York City to Medard N. and Veronica Meehan Suprenant. She attended Villa Maria Academy in the Bronx. Mrs.

Quarnstrom was a supervisor in the business office for the New York Telephone Co. in New York City. She married Carl G. Quarnstrom in 1963 in the Bronx. Her husband died March 22, 1986.
