Sensible dressing is what I'd call this look, and the Princess Royal wears it very well. She looks good in these shades of blue. Also, nice to see a different type of collar on her (or is it a matching scarf?)

The plant produced heavy water during WW2 and since Norway was invaded by Germany they wanted the water to make atomic bombs. This was stopped by norwegian commanders, some of them trained in England, who destroyed the plant and the ferry containing the heavy water. It was probably the most important sabotage action during the war. Princess Ann is very interested in military history and that's the reason for her visit.

Thank you Elisa. As an American of Norwegian decent I find Norway's history fascinating, especially in WWII.
And Prince Anne looks very nice in this print.

I really like this color on Princess Anne, as well as the pretty draping at the neckline.

This outfit looks attractive and suits the Princess well, love the colors. Her accessories match in well. The brooch is a welcome addition to the outfit, adding some interest.

Nice dress with a great neckline
. The jacket matches well and there are no gloves! Not keen on the shoes but otherwise a lovely outfit altogether.

I do like Anne's dress;also her jewellry looks nice;such a hard worker. If she was the Queen rather than Charles King and Camilla, just a thought.Really Diana was the perfect person to be Queen;her attitude was majestic, her focus was all.
I'm over al the thinking that she wasn't clever;she had a rare gift .And Charles was led by the nose of some old flame;time doesn't make people forget;the wrapping is still the same. The show must go on(Tara)

Sorry @ Tara but I don't quite catch the point you're making.
Don't worry, I'm noted for not being too bright.
Agree, nice dress. Goes well with the blue bolero jacket.

@Tara, in August it will be 27 years since Diana has passed. Shouldn't it be time to let her rest in peace and to stop punishing those living that had nothing to do with her death. The woman was already divorced from Charles at the time of her death so that is wishful thinking on your part. Neither you nor I were in that relationship and have no right to claim "people don't forget" - you're an outsider and know nothing of the ins and outs of that relationship. Let it go. People have moved on. Continuing to water plants in the past only breeds more hatred, water the plants in your present because they are the only ones that can contribute to your future.

As for the Princess Royal, she has never shown any bit of interest in being queen. Nor should she. Princess Anne does her duty very well, and represents her brother very well. The King and Queen also do their duties very well, just as they had done when they were the Prince and Princess of Wales.

The Princess Royal looks wonderful--I love her dress and jacket! She looks elegant and comfortable. It is nice to see Princess Anne visiting an important site from WWII such as the heavy water plant in Norway and honoring the brave men who gave their lives to bring about an end to Nazi atomic program.

Does she do this visit because she is interested in everything that is related to military history or WWII, or because she is a "hard working member of the BRF" ?

@Anonymous, if you seriously want an answer to your question, I suggest you direct it to the King. By the way, Princess Anne is Patron of the Anglo-Norwegian Resistance Commemoration Project, and was in Norway in that capacity.

Différents tons de bleu qui lui vont à merveille ; le drapé au niveau de son décolleté apporte une touche originale !
